Dr. Steve Petzel

Dr. Steve Petzel is the founder of Adisi Health Center. He specializes in muscle and joint related health conditions. Dr. Petzel enjoys taking care of a variety of different types of patients at his office in Hinsdale. He takes care of anything from children just 1 week old to professional athletes. He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta Georgia. He is trained in a wide variety of adjusting techniques along with Chiropractic Biophysics, Active Release Technique, Cervical and Lumbar Flexion and Distraction, Spinal Decompression, and Impulse Adjusting. Dr. Petzel also specializes in spinal rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise specific to improving the structure of the spine. Prior to this, he attended North Central College in Naperville, Illinois where he focused on a pre-chiropractic and exercise science curriculum. Throughout his college experience Dr. Petzel played rugby. He played for the Chicago Griffins from 2005-2007 and received a scholarship to play for Life University in Marietta, Georgia from 2007-2011. While at Life University Dr. Petzel competed in 3 National Championships. Dr. Petzel was introduced to Chiropractic as a result of a football injury during his senior year in high school at Glenbard North in Carol Stream, Illinois. Dr. Petzel was unable to continue sports until he received care from his local chiropractor. Dr. Petzel values working with a multitude of other healthcare professionals for the best interest of the patient. He is determined to locate the cause of the problem and find the care that is right for that specific patient.

David was a 2007 Olympia College graduate practicing therapeutic, rehabilitation, and sports massage. David had the pleasure of learning and mastering his technique from Dr. James E. Woodley N.D. David currently has 6 years of training in a broad range of massage modalities. David takes pride in the ability to work with a diverse clientele and having worked in several different environments (spa/medical, office, residential, athletic departments). He contributes his success to being able to treat every person differently and understand the bio-mechanics of human anatomy. When working, David treats each person as a unique case and carefully evaluates muscles and determines the cause of the pain or problem rather then just focusing on the the area of pain. Types of therapies that David provides are; Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, reflexology, hot stone, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, trigger point, Thai yoga, and joint mobilization.
